Job Description Summary
CNB Application Developer SeniorThe Brain Behavior Lab (BBL) at Penn Medicine and the Lifespan Brain Institute (LiBI) at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and Penn Medicine are seeking a full-time research-oriented highly experienced application developer to join their team. The Penn Computerized Neurocognitive Battery (CNB) is a series of computerized tests that have been applied in neuroimaging fMRI studies. The tests measure accuracy and speed of performance in major domains of cognition and have been used in the Army, Marines, NASA, and large-scale genetic studies on all continents, including Antarctica. The CNB Application Developer Senior will work with our scientific team to design, develop, maintain and enhance CNB web applications supporting a variety of research projects. She/he will also assist in the development and deployment of a flash-free CNB application that can be launched by the end of this year. They will work on designing, implementing and supporting new and existing fMRI tasks for neuroimaging studies. This includes scoring the data and producing summary scores by closely working with the testing and scientific team.

The Senior Application Developer operates with a high degree of independence and professionalism in managing job responsibilities, work priorities, methodologies, and routines. The position requires a readiness to research IT developments and tools, to apply the findings of research to design and programming, and in general, to bring best practices and the latest concepts in the field to application development. The senior developer participates in IT planning as well as the execution of planning priorities.
