Job Description Summary
Job Description
Provides health care services on a full-time or part-time basis in an owned or affiliated health care entity of Penn Medicine or The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Provides inpatient hospital services as required and fulfills all medico-administrative duties associated with membership on each hospital medical staff of which clinician is a member. May participate in a minimum of 50 hours per year of active and high quality teaching or equivalent service. Performs prompt, courteous and competent professional services in accordance with generally accepted professional standards for such services and with the standards established from time to time. Maintains license to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania or location of affiliates, if applicable.
As a Penn Medicine Clinical/ Attending Physician, providing direct patient care in the assigned Emergency Department(s) affiliated with the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, we expect you to work the agreed upon number of annual clinical hours along with overseeing support personnel to provide exceptional care to the all levels of acuity of the pediatric population you serve. You will be expected to be an active member of the Division and be involved in operational, quality and patient safety initiatives and participate in Divisional meetings. Opportunities exist to enable an appointment in the Clinical track, if teaching requirements are meet on an agreed upon annual basis. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Must be Board certified/eligible in Pediatric Emergency Medicine.

Qualifications:
M.D.; License to practice medicine without restriction or limitation in Pennsylvania; DEA Licensure. 0-1 year of work experience of related experience in a specified medical field.
