University of Pennsylvania Research Associate (Dreyfuss Lab) in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of biochemistry and molecular biology. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include participation in my group’s research on regulation of mRNA transcription and processing by RNA-binding proteins, snRNP and the SMN complex.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to collaborate with other colleagues and participate in challenging research projects in the lab, attend research conferences, publish his/her work on scientific journals.
