University of Pennsylvania Research Associate in Psychiatry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The Department of Psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Expertise is required in the specific area of the analysis of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with a focus on advanced signal processing of multimodal MRI data. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree.

Responsibilities may include participating in research group efforts to obtain and analyze MRI data, with specific tasks including the development and implementation of signal processing pipelines and visualization strategies for complex data. Following analysis, the candidate will participate in the preparation of presentations and articles for publication.

The successful applicant will have an opportunity to help supervise laboratory technicians, postdoctoral fellows, and graduate students in an academic setting.
