Temporary Admissions Application Reader - Penn Engineering Online

Job Description Summary

The Admissions Readers will review documentation and evaluate graduate program applications using a rubric.

Job Description

The Admissions Readers will:

  • Evaluate at least 40 applications for Early and Regular Admission cycles and meet application review deadlines.

  • Use the Reader Handbook to make accurate assessments on whether or not an application meets Penn Engineering Online guidelines and requirements.

  • Use Slate to comment on potential issues with an application and to give the final assessment of the application following the guidelines given in the Reader Handbook.

  • Keep an accurate count of applications evaluated and hours worked.

  • Stay in active communication with the Operations Manager.

    Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree and at least one year of data entry experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Strong attention to detail

Excellent time management skills and ability to work in a deadline driven environment

Great written communication skills

Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently with little to no supervision

Strong organizational skills

Comfortable with using computer programs and Google Suite

Previous experience in Higher Education or Admissions preferred
